As a child we all have dreams, dreams of growing up and becoming something. More often than not, these dreams get buried in the process of growing up. What we finally choose as a career is guided more by what is expected of us and some material considerations. In a society like India, the career that one chooses is guided, to a great extent, by what society, at that time, thinks is a successful career. I think, but I cant be sure, that this is true about most societies across the globe.
As a child, the first thing that I ever wanted to be was a detective. When someone asked me what I wanted to be, I had no qualms in answering, "Detective!". Things never happened as I planned and I never even got close to becoming one.
What was it that you wanted to be when you were a child?
