And without doubt, human beings have made full use of this ability.
Technology has added several new ways like e mail, IM's etc. in which people can communicate with one another. Using these tools people who are geographically separated by a huge distance can talk in real time. Blog Your Blessings Sunday is a good example of how like minded people are brought together by technology.

If we mapped BYBS, would it span the globe? I am not sure where everyone is located, but I think so.
You are so right. I think the Internet has brought us great opportunities. My husband's father died the other day, and my husband was able to post photos, tributes, the obituary, and funeral arragements on his blog for his family and his family's friends and associates. The word was out in minutes. The possibilities that the Internet offers to connect people and make good things happen are just amazing.
