November is the National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, when over 100,000 aspiring novelists spend a considerable amount of time sitting in front of their computers.
Doing what, you might ask.
Answer : they try to write a 50, 000 word novella in one month. I have been one of the 100,000 aspirants for the past couple of years, and this year too, I am going to join in on the fun. I was able to write the required 50, 000 words in 2006, but I failed to do so in 2007.
This year I am hoping to not only write the 50,000 words, but write something that I can eventually try to get published. I am not sure if that is going to happen, but, as they say, one has to try. So, I am going to try.
NaNoWriMo comes as a blessing for me every year because it forces me to focus on writing for at least one month in the year. This year I specially needed it because due to some other changes in my life, I have not been able to write much lately. I am hoping I can change that this month and come up with something good.
Are you doing NaNoWriMo?

I've never aspired to be a published author... although, and it's true, I succeeded by proxy... so no, I won't be taking part... that said, I do wish you the best of luck and hope that your efforts indeed yield a published work!
Enjoy your writing! I am sure it will be a blessing whether you sell it later or not. A couple years ago, I was going to try that challenge but something happened in trying to sign up for it so I gave up. Maybe one day again. Later.
I will be back to BYB Sunday next week. Hope to see yoru post then to.
I am so sorry about the typos. I have got to check my typing before I send. . . don't post this.
Don't worry that you posted it. I can type and spell. . . at times. Ü Where are you doing your writing for this challenge. . . maybe I will look some more.
Go for it! You can do this thing.
Hurrah! I'm doing NaNoWriMo too. I'm signed in there as "Onyva".
I hope you have a wonderful writing month; I'll help cheer you on to 50,000!
I love your writing and look forward to your story this time.
I honor you for doing so---this project always seems overwhelming to me!
Best wishes to you on your November writing project. Perhaps one of these years I’ll give NaNoWriMo a try too, but this year I’ve committed to NaBloPoMo on two blogs … just as I did last year. That’s enough of a challenge for me right now.
Hugs and blessings,
Good luck - hope you achieve your goal :)
Happy BYB Sunday
