Weekly Round-up

This is going to be a different kind of post, because, this time, instead of talking in paragraphs, and talking about only one thing, I am going to talk in points. Why, you might ask? The answer is simple: there is more than one thing that I want to say today, and talking about them in paragraphs will make this a very long, and a very boring post. So, here goes...

  • The BlogRolling site is till not up, so I have not been able to add new sites to the BlogRoll, nor have I been able to update the sites that have changed their addresses in the last few days. Sorry!

  • I am sure most of you would have heard about the Mumbai terror episode by now. It was a very sad incident and I pray and hope that nothing like that happens in India or anywhere else in the world. My wishes and prayers are with the families of the people who died during the two days Mumbai city was held hostage by the terrorists. It has always saddened me to see how easily men are ready to take the lives of their fellow human beings. But, I am also sure that such incidents make the desire to make the world a peaceful place stronger in every heart.

  • I am also thinking of updating this blog a little more often, but that is just a thought and I am not sure if that thought will ever be converted into action.

  • Oh, I have not forgotten the blessing for this week. We had a new teacher this week. We had heard about him from people who had been taught by him earlier, and we had heard good things about him. But as they say, seeing is believing. So, it was only when he had taught us that we realised how good he was. The job of the teacher is not merely to repeat what is written in the books, but to stimulate the student's mind to imbibe what is being taught, and also to seek out for more. Most teachers today use the authority that the system provides them to make the students study, but if a teacher can make the student want to study and learn, then that is true teaching...and a teacher like that is atrue blessing.

  • Time management is still eluding me. If you have any tips or tricks that help you manage your time better, I am more than willing to listen.

  • I feel bad that I have not been able to visit the BYB blogs for the past couple of weeks. I am going to try and make up for that this week.

  • NaNoWriMo was a disaster. I could write barely 2500 words. Exams, illness, excuses...

That is it for now. Hope you have a good week ahead!

It was good to see you posting again. I came three times and thought maybe not again this week BUT I thought I would try once more and you had a new post! You had lots of information and a blessing! Always neat to find a teacher that is there to teach and not pass time, especially in college.

I am a bit confused. I thought Mumbai (sp) was in India and you too. Need more information on this.

Sorry about your writing project but you tried and next time, it might just be a success so don't give up. You might be trying to do too many things at one time. Writing should have some degree of fun, not frustration.

I hope the new people don't get upset that we aren't visiting. Maybe you could just list their urls for us to copy and paste until the blogtoll works again.

Would enjoy having you drop by again.

Eventually we land in doing what we intend to do.

I was suffering with the same syndrome you mentioned in your post, and I am in a struggling to come out of it.

As per the theory I believe in the lack of time, examination stress, illness, excuses... are effects. We need to find the causes

I am glad at least you tried for NaNoRiMo. It reminded me the story of King Bruce and spider.

Among many I m also waiting for your striking back...

Cheers

Thanks for this informative list. I am glad your new teacher lives up to the reputation! And I hope things like what happened in Mumbai stop altogether.

If you just want a list of blogs, you can add a blogger gadget. IF people want to update their blogrolls they can just copy it over by revealing sources and cut and paste.

I was saddened by the violence. I am glad it was not near you. It seems to be the way of the world nowadays.
