Life is like that. When one does not have anything, even the smallest thing means a lot to him. But, as he starts to get to his goals, the little pleasures that once constituted the major portion of his life seem child like and frivolous. He wants more and more, till he is himself confused as to what he wants. In this regard something that I read somewhere comes to mind: " The perfect gift of an artist is to know when to stop."
If Leonardo da Vinci had not stopped and gone ahead to paint the eyebrows on Mona Lisa, who knows if it would have been as famous as it is now. So, the trick, I think, is to enjoy what you have, plan for what you want and then work to make your dreams come true.

Hey, is that a self portrait on your book cover? :)
"After you get what you want, you don't want it," as Marilyn Monroe sang. Seriously though, a first printed article/book/whatever is a landmark. Keep plugging away.
