BYBS : The Search

(To join Blog Your Blessings Sunday, and get your name on the blogroll, click on the banner above and follow the simple instructions.)

Since times immemorial, Man has continuously been on a search for the right path. His search has led him to form new religions, philosophies and theories. But, yet, even after the passage of so many centuries there is no one religion, or philosophy, or even a theory that all men agree upon.

The reason for this could be that there can actually be no one philosophy to explain everything. How we see things depends upon the place from where we are looking at things. So, each one of us has to find the right path for himself. In his search he can bank upon the work done by the people before him, but at the end of the day he has to find his own way. And when a man has found his own way, it will be easier for him to walk on it.

I really can't say that I have found my way, nor can I say, with any amount of certainty, that I will. But, I feel, that even the search for the right path is quite enjoyable, and the journey gives as much pleasure as the destination.

With the hope that all of us are able to find what we are looking for, I wish everyone a very happy week ahead!

It is funny, I am reading a book called the Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. It details the 9 insights the human race is predicted to grasp as we enter an era of true spiritual awareness. This era is now. It is a parable, but I have already gleaned three truths. When I finish, I will be writing a post on Endangered Spaces if you want to know the other 7.

Have a great week.

Thanks for another week of BYB.

And thanks for this thought. I have come to believe the search for the way is the way. Those times I feel most off-road are often the best of times.

It's odd... I was about to whack in my usual long-winded comment... and then noticed Sandy more or less summed it up.

The only thing to add is when man inserts dogma into belief and faith, that's when everything seems to fall apart.

The search is probably the best part as we meet, and see new things, new people, new ideas :) Terrific post, and food for thought :) Have a wonderful week ahead!

I'm not so sure about the "journey giving as much pleasure as the destination" . . . YES, lots to enjoy and learn along the way but the destination is the ultimate reward. A person can have problems, troubles, along the way but be rewarded when the journey is over. So, in the end, the journey becomes worthwhile in spite of hardships. If we remember God is with us along that journey, it becomes bearable.

I do agree that there are many wonderful things happening along life's journey. . .

I was just about to comment and then Sandy beats me to it...by at least an hour. Fooie :-)

Cool post, have a good week.

I agree with Sandy on this... "Those times I feel most off-road are often the best of times." That is how I feel most of the time.

Have a great week, Neo! God bless.

Spiritual awareness and perspective seem to complement one another in life ... as one 'shifts' the other changes as well. Like Sandy, I believe 'the way IS the way' ... and being present in each moment remains my focus. I'm participating in BYBS for the 2nd week at Sacred Ruminations and just published there. I look forward to visiting others to see what they're sharing this week.
Hugs and blessings,
